An Experienced Licensed Professional Counselor

Susan

It's my belief that counseling is an exciting opportunity for personal growth. Personal growth can be hard, even scary at times, but the rewards of having a richer, more fulfilling life are worth the effort.

As a counselor with over 20 years of experience, I offer specialized therapy for couples, individuals, and adolescents.  Using a holistic approach, I strive to create an environment that is caring and safe where you can feel empowered to develop your fullest potential.

In order to make therapy as accessible as possible for clients' busy schedules, I offer evening, Saturday, and daytime appointments.

I specialize in helping clients with mental health issues including stress, depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, narcissistic trauma, childhood trauma, grief, and low self-esteem.

Working with couples dealing with relationship difficulties one of my specialties. For more information, click on the Couples Tab. For new couples - don't wait for  bad relationship habits to weigh you down as a couple! Check out my new 3-session course in proactive relationship skills by clicking on the Course Tab.

I also work with adolescents struggling with growing up in this difficult and complicated world. I provide in-person appointments in my office in Fort Worth, and provide online appointments to Dallas, Aledo, Grand Prairie, and throughout the state of Texas.

seminars Relationship Workshops for Couples

Attending a relationship Seminar is an excellent first step for couples who do not feel ready for actual therapy.

Relationships can be challenging. Maintaining and sustaining a successful partnership requires the knowledge to be the kind of partner you aspire to be and the skills to build the kind of life and relationship you want to create. During this seminar, couples are guided through a workshop comprised of three 90-minute sessions.

As children and adolescents grow and begin their educational journey, they continue to develop in many important ways. During these periods of growth, it can be difficult for families to know when a change reflects the normal challenges in child development or a more serious mental health issue. My approach in addressing these developmental changes will involve working as a team with the child and parent. Working together with parents, we put in place strategies to effect positive change in children.
